WCBC - The West Coast Boardgame Championships was created
in 2005 with the goal of creating a West Coast venue to recognize
excellence in board gaming. The WCBC has grown from running 16
championships its first year, to 25 its second, ramping up to 34
games in its third year. The Championships have attracted about
150 board gamers looking for a new challenge and top-level
competition.
HOST - The WCBC is hosted over Labor Day weekend by Avalon
Conventions at the ConQuest SF/Pacificon Game Exposition held
at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Hotel. The dates for this
year's show are August 31 - September 3, 2007. The convention
hotel rate is $99 for single/double.
COST - One price gets you into the convention, and all the WCBC
has to offer! The $50 (at the door) four day pass is currently
discounted to $40 until June 30, 2007. And if you are selected to
judge an event, your admission is free! You can register for the

SPECIAL GUESTS - Legendary game designer Richard Borg is our
Guest of Honor this year. Mr. Borg has done many things that we
will list right here. Rodger MacGowan, Vice President and Artistic
Director of GMT Games is a special guest. Designer Dana
Lombardy will be offering six historical seminars. Christopher "Doc"
Cummins will be on hand as an Industry Guest from Decision
Games.
